How would Dürer, this realist, have reacted to the change in our environment? In our age, which is called the Anthropocene, and the imprint of the automobile on the globe is unmistakable.
Tire treads often have plant patterns as models, when rolling, floral structures, i.e. plant mutations, arise. This technique was used here to transfer Dürer’s point of view to our time.
